Newlands Luxury Lodges

We have many different kinds of people coming for a Lyme Regis camping holiday with us here at Newlands each year, and because of this we have a whole range of accommodation types to suit every possible need and taste. In this week’s blog we’d like to talk about our luxury lodges.

The lodges are for visitors who want to holiday in Dorset in style – they are cosy, fully-fitted and set in gorgeous woodland surroundings. Being England, you can’t always rely on the weather even in the summer, so the lodges allow you to simultaneously experience and engage with nature while having a comfortable, luxurious refuge from the elements when you need it.

Our Dorset Camping Lodges

Our Dorset campsite offers 3 different categories of lodges:

The Executive Lodge has 3 bedrooms (one double, one twin and one bunk bed room), so it’s ideal for accommodating an average-sized family.

It comes with two bathrooms – an en suite for the master bedroom and a shared family bathroom. There is also a full kitchen with microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a large dining area.

Finally, there is a spacious lounge with TV and DVD in case you fancy a quiet relaxing evening after a long day out exploring Dorset.

The Elite Lodge boasts all the same features as the Executive lodge, but has a double room and two twin rooms instead of a bunk bed room.

The Dorset Pine Lodge comes in 6-7 and 8 berth options – both have three bedrooms including a double master bedroom and a twin bedroom, but the 6-7 berth option has a single bed in the third room while the 8 berth option comes with bunk beds.

To top it all off, the Dorset Pine Lodges all have double sprung sofa beds in the lounge, ensuring that no space in the lodge is wasted!

All your bedding, linen and power services are included in the booking price for each lodge, so you need only bring your own towels and tea towels. As an extra bonus, the Executive and Elite Lodges both come with a free family swimming pass, valid for both our indoor and outdoor pools.

If you are interested in staying in one of our Dorset holiday lodges give us a call on 01297 560259 or visit our website

'Excellent site with clean facilities, friendly staff!'

'Friendly staff, the staff in the shop was incredibly welcoming! Loved how we were escorted to our pitch and also offered help with putting the caravan on the pitch. Swimming pool was small but ideal, good sauna! Outdoor pool was lovely also! Facilities were spotless considering we had awful weather they work extremely hard! Very clean site, great value for money!'

"Definitely will be back"

Good location with Charmouth beach and lyme regis near. Nice facilities on site and nice rooms. The tow bar restaurant is a gem with great food. Liked the activities on our stay like bingo. Overall a good stay and would love to come back again.

"Everything we needed"

Very tidy site, well laid out and well equipped. Towbar restaurant offered a good selection of quality food at all meal times, very good value for money and super friendly service. There is a small shop on site for all your essentials with access to another slightly larger shop in the village. Two pools and children’s play areas plus a gaming room were a real bonus. Shower and toilet blocks were cleaned regularly and always kept in good order. Location is fantastic, especially for avid fossil hunters with Charmouth beach around 20 minutes easy walk away through the village.

"What a wonderful place"

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Newlands. We stayed in the studio apartment block down the end (A17). The apartment was incredibly clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a short stay. My twin sons (3.5 years old) had the twin room, mum had the double bed, and I stayed on a blow up mattress that I brought with. We were very comfy.
