Charmouth
Our family-friendly holiday park is situated on the outskirts of Charmouth in West Dorset. Charmouth is widely regarded as ‘the gateway to the Jurassic Coast’ and is extremely popular amongst locals and holidaymakers for its gorgeous beach, quirky town, and its word-famous fossil-rich cliffs.
There is plenty to do here in Charmouth for those with young children, such as exploring the rock pools along Charmouth beach to look for crabs or other little critters! Fossil hunting is a must. You never know what you might find!
Accommodation
Our lodges, glamping pods and caravans are particularly charming during the Easter holidays. They are set in a leafy environment and have scenic views of the hills that surround us here at Newlands. They are furnished to a high standard and provide a comfortable base to spend quality family time together at the end of a busy day exploring Dorset views and attractions. The kitchens make self-catering a breeze!
For those that are looking to book a short break, either for a day or a weekend, we suggest checking out our apartments and en-suite motel rooms. We also have an excellent range of touring, motorhome and tent pitches available to book. Our pitches come in a range of sizes to suit your tent or motorhome.
All our accommodation options are ideally located for easy access to the coast and are incredibly comfortable after a long day of fossil hunting with your family.
On-site Facilities
We have an excellent range of facilities to entertain you and your family whilst staying with us at Newlands.
There are three on-site play areas, which are fully equipped with fun features such as a large climbing frame, slides, swings, a zip wire and so much more. Next to the adventure playground, there is also a recreational field where families can play games such as rounders, cricket, or football.
Even though Dorset is one of the sunniest places in the UK, we all know how unpredictable the weather can be. On those dreaded rainy days, there is still plenty to do – we have an excellent indoor soft play area suitable for toddlers and 4-7-year-olds.
At Newlands, we have a modern leisure centre, which is fully equipped with an indoor heated pool and an outdoor pool, a brand new mini gym and a sauna – which is absolutely delightful after a long day of outdoor activities.
If you’re feeling peckish after a day of fossil hunting, cycling, or hiking, we have a great on-site restaurant and bar where you can sit and enjoy a home-cooked meal with your family or friends. The Tow Bar serves plenty of drinks, including Dorset Ales, Dorset Conker Gin, Black Ven Rum and the more traditional Tanqueray.
