A Night to Remember
The awards ceremony took place at the Weymouth Pavilion, celebrating the very best of Dorset’s tourism and hospitality. The evening was opened by Robin Barker and hosted by BBC Radio presenter Steve Harris, with industry and guest speakers including Nell barrington and BBC Newsreader Jane Hill. It was a truly special night, bringing together inspiring businesses and individuals from across the county.

A Family-Run Park with Heart
Since 1956, Newlands has welcomed guests to the beautiful Jurassic Coast. Under the Ireland family’s ownership since 1998, the park has grown from a small team of five to more than forty, all sharing the same mission: to provide affordable, quality holidays and to be a true asset to the local community.

What Makes Newlands Stand Out
Our award win highlights the areas we’re most proud of:
-
Friendly, well-trained staff who go the extra mile for every guest — supported by new welfare facilities to enhance daily life at work.
-
A commitment to sustainability, including 90kW of solar panels powering our pools and new biodiversity planting across the park.
-
Strong community connections, such as winter and mid-season swim memberships that make our leisure facilities accessible to both locals and visitors.
-
Innovative marketing collaborations, working with Daisy Upton (Five Minute Mum), SHO, Visit Dorset, and Premier Parks to share our story with new audiences.
A Big Thank You
This award belongs to our team, our guests, and our community — each playing a part in making Newlands the welcoming, family-friendly destination it is today. We’re so proud to represent Charmouth, the Jurassic Coast and Dorset Tourism at its very best.
