Are you dog friendly?

Yes, we are a dog-friendly holiday park in West Dorset

Who do I contact for a maintenance issue?

If you encounter any maintenance issues during our open hours, please reach out to our reception desk, and they will promptly notify our maintenance team to resolve the problem. For any maintenance emergencies that occur outside of our regular operating hours, we have emergency contact numbers posted on our main reception door, which you may use to get in touch with us at any time.

What should I do in the event of an emergency?

If you are faced with an emergency situation that poses an immediate threat to life or property, please do not hesitate to call 999 for help. For all other emergency situations, you can find the necessary contact information on the main reception door.

What should I do with my litter?

There are plenty of bin and recycling stations spread across the park for your convenience. Please feel free to use them whenever you need to dispose of waste or recycle items.

Can I book my next holiday before I leave?

Yes, of course, you can book your next holiday with us before you leave! We also have a fun spin the wheel where you can win a prize. 

Can I bring a commercial vehicle on to the park?

No, commerical vehicles are not allowed on the park.

 

 

Glamping Pods

Is there an additional charge for water and electric?

No, there is not an additional charge for water and electricity. Water taps are located in the same field, and electric plug sockets are located inside the glamping pods

Can I choose my pitch or accommodation?

While you can make a request for a specific pod number, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

What types of glamping accommodation do you have?

We have four wooden glamping pods at Newlands Holiday Park.

Do I need to bring bed linen?

When staying at one of our glamping pods at Newlands Holiday Park, we kindly request that you bring your own bed linen as we do not provide any.

Do I need to bring towels?

We kindly request that you bring your own towels as we do not provide any.

What is in the glamping accommodation?

Our cosy wooden glamping pods offer the perfect retreat, complete with a comfortable double bed, two snug single beds, and all the modern amenities you need, including heating, lighting, and power sockets. Plus, each pod features a porch, complete with practical storage boxes for all your outdoor essentials.

What do I need to bring?

We recommend you bring everything you bring to a normal camping trip. This includes all necessary bedding items such as sleeping bags, pillows, and blankets. Additionally, make sure to bring cooking facilities to prepare meals during your stay.

Do you have dog friendly glamping accommodation?

Currently, we do not provide dog-friendly glamping pods.

Do I need to pay extra for gas and electric?

No, there is no additional charge for using gas and electricity at Newlands.

Camping

Can I book more than one camping pitch?

Yes, you can book multiple camping pitches. However, this is subject to availability.

Can I bring a gazebo?

Yes, you can bring a gazebo, but please note that this is not allowed during peak times (school holidays).

Can I choose my camping pitch?

While you can make a request for a specific camping pitch, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

Can I pitch my tent next to family and friends?

While you can make a request for pitches next to family and friends, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

Do you have camping pitches with electric hook up?

Yes, we have camping pitches with electric hook up.

Are camping pitches grass or hardstanding?

Our camping pitches are grass.

Can I park next to my tent?

Yes, you will be able to park next to your tent.

Where are the washing up facilities?

Our washing up facilities are located at the top of the black field and in the red field. See more of our camping amenities.

Can I bring a heater?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to bring your own heater.

Is the water safe to drink?

Yes, the water is safe to drink. You can drink the water from all the taps located around the camping fields. They are all designated for drinking water.

What do I need to use the electric?

To use the electric, you will need 16a electric mains cables.

What camping pitch types do you offer?

We have a variety of camping pitches available, including standard electric and non-electric options. The maximum tent size for both options on the standard pitches is 7x4 metres, while the larger pitches can accommodate tents up to 6x8 metres.

Do I need to pay extra for gas and electric? 

No, you will not have to pay additional charges for gas and electric. 

Do you have a swimming pool?

Our facilities boast a leisure centre that offers both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a sauna for relaxation. We also provide a kid-friendly splash zone to ensure that all our guests, regardless of age, can enjoy their stay to the fullest.

Is there CCTV on the park?

Yes, we have CCTV throughout Newlands Holiday park.

Static Caravans & Lodges

What is the difference between holiday caravans and lodges?

The difference between holiday lodges and caravans is that lodges are larger and can accommodate more guests. They also come equipped with a fuller range of kitchen appliances. Additionally, each lodge comes with a free swim pass at Newlands.

Are there irons and ironing boards in the accommodation?

Our lodges come with an iron and ironing board.

Are your holiday caravans and lodges close together?

Our holiday caravans and lodges are only a couple of minutes away from each other.

Can I hire a travel cot or highchair?

You can hire a travel cot or highchair for £15 per stay.

Can I request a specific caravan or lodge?

You can select the type of accommodation you prefer when making a reservation. However, please note that it cannot be guaranteed, although you may request a specific unit number.

Do you supply bed linen?

Yes, our lodges and holiday caravans come with bed linen.

Do I need to bring towels?

Our lodges come with towels but if you are staying in one of our caravans, you will have to bring your own towels.

Do you have any wheelchair-friendly caravans or lodges?

We're afraid we currently do not provide wheelchair-friendly caravans or lodges. 

Do your caravans and lodges come with outdoor furniture?

Both our lodges and caravans come with a picnic bench.

Will there be a microwave?

Yes, our lodges and caravans come with a microwave.

Is all cooking equipment provided?

Yes, we provide cooking equipment in all our lodges and caravans.

Can I park next to my caravan or lodge?

If you have reserved a caravan, you are allowed to park next to it. However, parking next to your accommodation is not permitted if you have booked a lodge.

Is there room for more than one car?

Unfortunately, there isn’t enough space to park two cars alongside your caravan. However, you can park any additional vehicles in the main car park.

Can I be sited next to friends or relatives?

While you can make a request to be situated next to family and friends, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

Will there be heating?

Yes, we provide heating in both our caravan and lodge accommodation. 

Do I need to bring anything?

Yourselves! Other than that, you will just need to bring your usual belongings that you take on holidays, such as clothing, toiletries, food, etc.

Is there an additional charge for water and electric?

No, there is no additonal charge for using water and electric at Newlands.

Do you have dog friendly caravans and lodges?

We currently only have dog-friendly caravans at Newlands Holiday Park.

Touring & Motorhomes

Are generators allowed?

No, generators are not allowed in touring and motorhomes at Newlands Holiday Park.

Are your touring pitches hardstanding?

Some of our touring pitches are hardstanding while others are grass.

Where do we check for our touring or motorhome break?

You can check in at the main reception where our friendly team will greet you.

What time can we check in for our touring break?

Check out time for touring is 10:30am.

What time do we have to leave our touring pitch?

Check out time for touring is 10:30am.

What do we need to check in?

When checking in you will need the name and address the booking is under, and your booking reference.

Where are the chemical disposal and park drainage?

For the disposal of chemicals, you can find the facility behind the toilet block in the red field, and also on the top toilet block near the black field. For grey waste/drainage, the designated area is located at the center of the red field or alternatively, you can use the motorhome point by the entrance of the red field.

Can I book more than one touring and motorhome pitch?

Yes, you can book multiple touring and motorhome pitches, however, this is subject to availability.

What is the maximum size touring caravan or motorhome I can bring?

The maximum touring caravan or motorhome you can bring is 7.5M in length.

Can I choose my touring pitch?

You can choose the type of pitch. You can also request the pitch number but, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

Can I park my car on my touring pitch?

Yes, you can park your car next to your touring pitch.

Can I put up a pup tent?

It is possible to set up a pup tent, but please note that extra charges may apply.

Can I stay near my friends or family?

While you can make a request to be situated next to family and friends, please note that we cannot guarantee its availability.

Can I use a washing line?

Yes, you can use a rotorary washing line.

Can we have a barbecue?

You are welcome to have a barbecue, provided that you keep it elevated off the ground to ensure safety.

Can we have an open fire?

No, open fires are not permitted.

What happens if I'm arriving for my touring pitch late?

In case you are running behind schedule for your touring pitch, it is advisable to inform the main reception by calling them. You can check in with the bar team until 10 pm.

Do your touring pitches have electric hook up?

Yes, our touring pitches have electric hook up.

Is there a noise curfew?

Yes, we have a noise curfew that runs from 10pm to 8am.

Do you accept rallies?

Yes, we accept rallies at Newlands Holiday Park.

How many people does each pitch accommodate?

Each pitch can accommodate a maximum of 8 people. The nightly price includes accommodation for up to 6 people, and there will be an additional charge for the extra 2 people.

Do you have any seasonal pitches?

Yes, we have seasonal pitches at Newlands Holiday Park.

Do you have any pitches suitable for RVs?

Unfortunately, we do not have any suitable pitches for RVs.

Am I allowed to use an awning heater?

No, awning heaters are not allowed at Newlands Holiday Park.

Can I have more than one unit per pitch?

No, more than one unit per pitch is not allowed.

Do I need to pre-book a touring or motorhome pitch?

To ensure a smooth experience, we highly recommend that you pre-book a touring or motorhome pitch, especially during busy periods. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the availability of pitches for those who arrive without prior booking.

Can you recommend someone to mend my motorhome or caravan?

Yes, we can recommend someone to mend your motorhome or caravan

Do you have gas refills to exchange?

Unfortunately, we do not hve gas refills to exchance.

What ampage are the pitches?

The pitches ampages are 10amp and 16amp.

What do I need to use the electric?

You will need 16a electric mains cables to use the electric.

What touring pitch types do you offer?

We have a variety of touring pitch types, including grass pitches with 10amp power supply, hard standing pitches with 16amp power supply, and premium pitches with 16amp power supply, water, and grey waste facilities.

How many dogs can I have per touring pitch?

You can have 2 dogs per touring pitch.

What is included in the pitch fee?

The pitch fee includes 6 people, 1 unit, 1 car.

Do you offer caravan storage?
